White Bed Sheets Turning Yellow? How to re-whiten them…

Don’t cry anymore over yellowing sheets.. we all know that they are simply gross looking… you never feel that they are ever really clean. Why this happens is due to a number of different reasons ranging from abusing of bleach, age,  over-drying them, to minerals in the water.

So instead of throwing them away you can actually do something to help brighten them up once again.

What You Need:

  • ½ Cup of Lemon Juice
  • All-fabric Bleach (Do not confuse it with Chlorine Beach)

How To:

  1. First Read the label and make sure its does not say Dry Clean Only.
  2. Use All-fabric Bleach as directed.
  3. Dump the lemon juice into the rinse cycle.

It might take a few times to get it whiter and brighter. However if the sheets are too yellow you might as well start over and buy new ones. Just remember to use this method each time you wash them so that the whiteness lasts longer.

Good Luck!

    Hello there,

Thanks for your website. Was wondering if I could use lime instead of lemon since I can only find limes here.
