Heirloom Tomatoes

Heirloom tomatoes (aka heritage tomato in the UK) is an open-pollinated (non-hybrid) heirloom cultivar of tomato. They come in a large variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and flavors. There are more than 600 types of heirloom tomatoes known. They’ve become very popular in the last 40 years so you can find them in supermarkets across the world.

They add beautiful colors and flavors to any dish! Go ahead and try them!

I often times use them to make my Pasta Al Pomodoro (Fresh Tomato Sauce ). Click here for the recipe

Summer is all about great tomatoes!
