It’s interesting to talk about cilantro and parsley with people. They either have no idea what’s the difference, or, quite frankly, don’t care, or, have really strong opinions on which one they like better.
When you go to the market they are often sold side by side, accidently intermixed or just plain not in the right section. You might ask yourself who care’s, just grab and one and go, or stand there for 5 minutes looking at it smelling it, and wonder, ok inny meany miny moe, or just simply get it because you know (or kind of remember) the smell of cilantro/parsley.
How can you tell the difference?
If you can differ each by smelling them, great!
But, if you still have no idea or are second guessing, don’t worry it’s easier than you think.
Look at the leaves; the tips of Cilantro’s leaves are rounded whereas the tips of flat leaved parsley are pointed and curly parley are pointed and have smaller, curly leaves.
